Description
Eric Kent Chardonnay Luke’s Grove Russian River 2017
Luscious, juicy ripe peach and baked pear abound along with beautiful, exotic white flower accents, a hallmark of the Rued clone. Oak is present but well-integrated and adds to the overall plushness and length. This is a big, loveable glass of Chardonnay with not a sharp edge to be found. Approachable soon after release, the 2017 Lukes should nonetheless age quite nicely for another 6 to 7 years.
Critical Acclaim
91 Wine Enthusiast
Spicy nutmeg, clove and vanilla enter onto the nose and palate of this voluptuous wine, which is generous in oak and fruit. Pear, apple and citrus flavors combine around high-toned, floral aspects of mineral and acidity developing a creaminess as it goes.
91 Wine Spectator
Fresh, with floral components to the vibrant flavors of fresh-cut apple, white cherry and ripe pear. The focused finish offers plenty of butter accents and spicy richness. Drink now through 2023.
