Description
1981 Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone Riserva
Giuseppe Quintarelli, often called the “guru of Valpolicella” is the man behind some of the most revered wines ever to be made in Italy. The small production and high price of those wines created a near-mythical reputation around them. “Bepi,” as Giuseppe was called, passed away in 2012 and had been suffering from Parkinson’s for many years. So while the wines made at the estate these days are still garnering critical acclaim, this bottle, which was made by the man in is prime, should be a prized, rare find for any collector.
