Description
Tyler Chardonnay Santa Barbara County 2019
Tyler Winery Santa Barbara County Chardonnay opens aromatically with notes of flint, and white chalk, with a combination of stone and citrus fruits, and a hint of floral. On the palate, the wine is extremely mineral-driven with notes of white pepper and green apples.
Critical Acclaim
95 Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2019 Chardonnay has creamy tones to begin but opens further to reveal lime peel, crushed stone, hazelnut and citrus blossoms. The palate is characterized by creamy citrus fruits, tangy acidity and shimmery mineral character, and it finishes with tremendous length and layering. It’s an energetic Chardonnay that will gain complexity in bottle over the next 2-3 years.
90 Vinous
The 2019 Chardonnay (Santa Barbara County) is a beautiful appellation-level wine. Light tropical accents, white flowers, lemon peel, mint and white pepper are all finely sculpted. Airy and gracious, with superb purity, 2019 delivers the goods, and then some. As is so often the case, the Tyler appellation Chardonnay is a standout.
